Undergraduate Research Projects
أغجزس°تس is fully committed to student research. Nearly 90 percent of our students are directly connected with faculty members and industry partners through sophisticated research, capstone projects and internships. Many students at أغجزس°تس win awards and competitions and publish their research findings on a regular basis.
Students can work with faculty on faculty-led research projects, or they can devise their own research projects, supported by the university’s Ignite program or through other internal university research funding.
Currently, students are working with industry and government partners to develop new biofuels, green vehicles and aircraft, advanced propulsion systems, renewable energy sources, and uncrewed and autonomous systems.

![Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. students Taylor Stark and Stanislav Sikulskyi use أغجزس°تس’s new nanoscale 3D printer in the Structures Laboratory at the MicaPlex with Associate Professor Daewon Kim. The new equipment, funded by a National Science Foundation grant, will enable أغجزس°تس researchers to fabricate nano to microsize materials and structures with smart actuation and sensing, optimize metamaterial structures and polymer curing, and fabricate micromechanical and microfluidic devices to study biochemical processes and cancer.
